Version 1.02 Update Surprise Launch
Version 1.02 of Wishscapes has been completed ahead of schedule! Below are a comprehensive catalog of changes:
-Frame rate stability! Now pretty solidly locked in at 60 FPS;
-Updated the walking and sprinting character animations to be more suggestive of movement;
-Made desperately tweaks of gravity based assets after the previous update rendered them WAY too strong;
-Slightly updated the playback speed, color palette, and animation of platforming background 1 so as to be less aggressive in the eyes;
-Resized late game enemy, Tomatoddle to better reflect what fruit they’re based on (it’s a cherry tomato for those curious);
-Added a jump counter which tracks how many times you’ve jumped over the course of your play through, because why not? This tracker is visible in the pause menu.
-Slightly tweaked the total speed requirement necessary to display after images; this mechanic is meant to act as a kind of micro reward for fast play and to accentuate fall heights, so this change was intended to help better preserve the feeling of reward the player experiences for triggering it;
-Added the ability to close the game and return to the title screen directly from the pause menu.
And that’s all for now! A series of minor tweaks to be certain, but far and away the game’s largest update yet (sample size of 2, lol). No announcements for this time regarding what will be included in our game’s third update, but as per usual, our team is always receptive to feedback and/or willing to fix small issues should you find and bring them to our attention.
With that, to all a good night/day/whenever you’re reading this, and happy climbing!

This was meant to be acknowledged in the original post, but two additional changes brought on by version 1.02 include:
-Tweaks to the blue mushroom middle game asset. Blue mushrooms are much bouncier now;
-Pollen particle effect added to select flowers as minor graphical flourish.
